How to Balance out Your Mood After Going off of Hormonal Birth Control Pt. 3

When I was on birth control, it seemed as if my moodiness was at an all-time high…all the time. I didn’t realize that birth control can deplete our bodies of natural vitamins and minerals that promote good moods. A few of these include Vitamins B2, B6, B12, folate, magnesium, zinc, selenium, CoQ10, Vitamin C, and Vitamin E just to name a few. Uhhhhh Hello?! That’s a lot. No wonder we struggle with brain fog, attitudes, and fatigue. We may not have to go through tampons nearly as much but our quality of life sure isn’t where it should be when our mood is affected every single day by the pill. You can get all of these vitamins and nutrients naturally through foods. While this is true, unless you’re eating a well-rounded diet every single day without fail and eating organic and minimally processed foods 100% of the time, then it would be hard to get all of these vitamins and minerals on a daily basis without some sort of extra supplementation. Especially, if you’re detoxing after coming off of the pill.

good skin, good mood, good day

To ensure I got in all of the natural vitamins and minerals that I needed, I started to drink an all natural energy drink. At first, I was told it would help with my brain fog, my mood and my natural energy levels. After drinking the first one, I not only noticed all three of those benefits but it was also delicious and became my new go to when I was starting to crave something sweet. I now drink 2-3 a day because of how much natural energy it gives me. It’s basically a brain drink that’s also an instant mood booster. I would be so snappy and I would take huge dips in mood. This prevented me from going out with friends, staying motivated, and I felt as if my mood swings were so unpredictable I almost felt out of control. This low-calorie, gluten-free, vegan option is my go-to especially when I am starting to feel like I’m going to crash during PMS. It’s the perfect pick-me-up when I’m  feeling anxious, sad or even unmotivated; all of which are natural symptoms and moods from PMS. This energy drink has honestly changed my life. It can be debilitating when your mind isn’t in the right space and getting through your day seems like an olympic sport.

Check out some of the added benefits in just one drink:

B Vitamins (help support brain function, required for energy metabolism, helps maintain normal cellular function, helps promote positive mood, helps support optimal working memory, helps reduce fatigue), Magnesium ( helps support normal nervous system function and brain health, promotes healthy energy metabolism) Caffeine, DMAE( Helps promote a state of alertness, mental clarity, and sense of energy), green tea extract, pine bark (helps support mental performance, supports women’s health), L-theanine, (focus, performance, mental acuity) Quercetin (antioxidant function and helps boost cellular protection.)

You can drink either decaf or caffeinated depending on if you’re sensitive to caffeine or not.
