Is Your Soul in Alignment?

"We act as if the world owes us happiness." -Erwin McManus

These words hit me, caused me to pause and was the catalyst of this post.

We live in a culture where we're so prone to cancel people. We're experiencing a generation of people who are entitled to happiness, and success, and constantly playing the victim. We forget that happiness is an inside job and it really has nothing to do with anyone else.

As you go into your workweek, consider this:

Maybe your life isn't just about you.
Maybe you are where you are right now because God wants you to be proof of His presence.
Maybe you're feeling as though your soul is out of alignment.
Maybe you're feeling symptoms of doubt, insignificance, or unworthiness.
Maybe you're feeling as though you're not talented enough, not gifted enough.

You think it's because of worldly things but really it's your soul out of alignment with your purpose. It’s the fact that you have yet to identify your purpose, so you show up everyday living in the mundane rather than living limitless.

When you’re out of alignment, you only think about you. Your next promotion, your next relationship, your next big move. Our purpose may not give us the instant gratification we long for. It may take us getting down in the dirt doing the hard things before we reach that ultimate level of success.

I got a promotion at work last week. Not because I have the most experience, not because I'm the most talented and certainly not because I've been there for a long time. I don't say this to boast, but to boast upon you that each day I show up to work...to work. I stay above the nonsense. I believe I'm there to help serve, and I take on each day knowing I'm not working for me. I'm working for he who is greater within me. Is it my life's purpose to be there forever? Maybe not. But while I am there, I am committed to excellence because that is where I am supposed to be now.

When we’re in alignment with our souls, we surrender and humble ourselves to a greater calling outside of what we think we should have.

Let your creator align your life for the purpose for which He created you.

You are in alignment when you step into your assignment.

Some helpful tips for stepping into your assignment:

-Be open to the idea that you don’t know everything

-Be willing to surrender to the unknown

-Write down your core values

-Ask God each day to put people into your life who you can serve

-Be committed to working on yourself and your growth everyday

Liv
